Extremely shocking that the Yamaha FZ6 is discontinued (as of now) as it was revamped for the 2008 model year.
I assume it was a very good seller, but maybe the 08 revamp killed it?
Also 1/2 as shocking is the MT-01 is discontinued. After the R&D Yamaha put in it, they must be disapointed at the slow sales. But to be fair, it wasn't a cheap bike and price killed it.

It is a simular story with the MT-01's as well. New 2007 in stock.jstark47 wrote:I'm not at all surprised the FJR1300AE was dropped. Local dealership has a 2 year old NOS one, can't move it.
I remember how much interest the FJR1300AE was in the press, guess it really didn't fly that well on the road.

It doesn't look like it was dropped, they just morphed it into the FZ6R. Looks like an FZ6 with added plastic.totalmotorcycle wrote:Extremely shocking that the Yamaha FZ6 is discontinued (as of now) as it was revamped for the 2008 model year.
What I found disturbing was this comment in the blurb :
"The Yamaha FZ6R offers features that make it easy for beginning ridres to get started"
I'm thinking it's quite a stretch to recommend a 100 hp bike to beginning riders.
