The 08's are about to be announced. Anyone hear anything about the new Yamaha's? There may be a new power cruiser offering.
Peace,
Shane

Banshee

I just checked and it looks like the end of the Banshee ATV, the end of the two stroke era is almost upon us.

The '08 Yamaha's have been released. Here are the links to the overview pages. Looks like one new Star line, one new Sport and a few new or updated Dual Sports.

Didn't take Yamaha long to put out their version of the Rocker.

Instead of the Rocker and Rocker C, it's the Raider and Raider S.

Great that Yamaha USA has posted all this stuff. nice bikes as usual. kinda sick how much trick stuff the R6 now has... the slipper clutch will be great. man... nice nice nice.

coming out with a 250cc four-stroke supermotard bike is an odd one: WR250X... it's gotta have about 30hp though, and at 240lbs plenty of fun still, and fuel-injected. (I checked to see if the YZ250F is fuel injected too, but not yet, 37mm Keihin still) .
:jumpy:
Well a neat dualsport anyway, but i'd have more fun in the dirt on one of these puppies... too temping to be doing naughty riding on the street on a street legal super-mo especially with so much rubber on the road all you can do is corner like crazy and wheelie and brakie until you bite the dust (er, pavement). i just checked the weight: Yamaha sez 280lbs, so a bit chubbier than expected, BUT, i noticed they also have a WR250R dual sport... there we go, i think that'd be a better choice, still fun on the street without prompting you to constantly be doing silly things, and great in the dirt. cool.

i think i should start thinking about a dirt bike again, since i always learned a bunch riding 'em... need to have some real fun riding again. i could ride dirt bikes forever without getting bored... broken maybe, but not bored. :banging:
"Zounds! Zorched by Zarches, Spaceman Spiff's crippled craft crashes on planet Plootarg!"

For Sale: Ninja 600 with parts bike, needs minor work, $30, no title... (GEE THAT DOESNT RING ANY WARNING BELLS DOES IT?)

It figures that Yamaha would introduce them on the day I'm in oral surgery (wisdom teeth extraction) I've been away for a week for recovery so I'll get to work on putting these bike up this morning ASAP. :D

Sorry for the delay,

Mike
