Rain gear

#1 Unread post by Iamjustifyd »

I wear full gear and am wanting to get a rain jacket and pants. Trying to zip up, put in, take out, weather proof liner is a pain. People's opinion tho. Should I get to fit on the outside of my gear...easier to take off and on? Or under the gear? Thanks for the input:)

Go for the outside

My recomendation is go for over the gear rain wear and just keep it handy. After doing an 800 mile trip last summer with rain about 60% of the way, the outer wear rain gear is great. When you see the black clouds ahead just stop and throw it on. Once you are through the rain and dried off, off comes the rain gear and you can enjoy riding your clothing and bike gear are still dry. I still haven't figured out how to rain proof my boots and gloves yet though. But they do dry rather quickly at 60 mph. Hope this helps.
