Looking for decent aftermarket pipes for V Star

#1 Unread post by metric_cruzer »

Hi everyone! Im just wanting to see your oppinions on a decent aftermarket exhaust system for my '02 vstar 1100 custom. I would like to improve the sound some but I dont want it to be ear damaging loud. I was thinking about the vance and hines classic II exhaust. I would like to keep the price around $500 or less.

Thanks for your help.

Here might be a good place to look. The 1100 forum on Delphi. I go to the 650 one and find all kinds of info....

Hey thanks for the info. I think im just going to go with slip ons. I was reading that if you just want to improve sound then the slip ons are better because you dont have to rejet your carb. Here are some cobra slip ons I like.

The ones in the link you supplied look good. A lot less work than having to re-jet.

I have hard krome pipes on my bike and I love them. I have a full set though instead of slip ons.
