What about this little gizmo?

#1 Unread post by Zagnut »

I'm lookin' into eventually gettin' a GPS unit and while I was going back thru the old posts on GPS units, I found a thread on this unit that I had missed when it was posted.

Anyone ever try one of these little gizmos?...What'dya think of it?

It sounds pretty cool but I wonder if it's as cool as it sounds....
I don't know anything about the software it uses and all that kind of stuff...

What do y'all GPS afficionados think of this unit?

There's a thread about this particular unit on ADVRider right now, and the general consensus is that it's not a very good unit.

This is the thread on ADVRider

Personally, I use a Garmin GPS V and I like it.

Thanks for the info. After reading the threads in your link and some other sites linked in that thread, it sounds like it could be a very nice unit...once they work out one or two little (but important) kinks. It sounds like the users are bringing the product flaws to the attention of the manufacturer and that Garmin tends to try to work out kinks that come up in their products. It looks like maybe in a year or two this unit will be be a good unit to have, if and when they work out the bugs.

Thanks again for the link Gadjet.
