Minor scratches on tank - any good compounding products?

#1 Unread post by brentf13 »

Hello All,

I have some minor scratches on my gas tank - does anyone know of a good compound that i can use to rub it out without causing further damage?

Thanks,

Mcguiler's makes some good stuff, but it works by rubbing away the paint around it. Which just smooths out the scratches. So if it's just in the clear coat go for it.
Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.
