If you're still looking for boots, I would recommend checking out the Icon Standard Boots. They look like normal boots but with better protection around the ankle and outside of your foot. There's a gear shift pad so your boots don't get worn out in that section. They took me about a week to break in (right before my MSF course) and they worked and fit great during the class. Ran me about $106 at NewEnough.
