Thinking about trading my 04 Honda vtx 1300 retro in for a 05 Vulcan 1600 Nomad. mainly because I do a lot of touring and I'm looking for a more long distance machine without having to go the Goldwing / Electraglide route...primarily because of cost. Anyone own or have an opinion about the new improved Nomad? Frankp :motorcycle:

What is the vtx worth as a tradin?

Won't you take a beating on $ if you trade it?

Honestly, if I were you, I'd get a new '04 1500 Nomad for alot less, and pocket the difference. The changes in the Nomad from the 1500 to the 1600 are subtle and not all are well received by the Vulcan community. Either bike will be a great tourer, but $$$ talks
