If wishes were horses...

#1 Unread post by ashiblue »

I could probably sell my horse for a motorcycle.

Hey there! I've always wanted a motorcycle but always lived in places that they aren't practical year-round. So it became a toss-up between reliable transportation year-round (a car :() or not. And since I live in Colorado Springs, CO where the transportation system is the most terrible I've ever personally seen...well, the car won.

As it stands I am still unable to also afford the motorcycle. Or even the Basic Riders Course. I can probably afford pretty good gloves. >_> However, in the meantime it seemed like a good idea to read up on advice about gear, tips, etc.

One thing that sucks so far is how short I am though. I've read the SBL and know that I'm not completely limited in my bike choices, but still...it's sad. I top out at 4'11". I think it's actually 4'11.5" but that just looks mentally challenged.

Oh well, I'll have to get over it, right? Anyway, that's my intro. Guess I'll go lurk a little more.

Don't despair - I too am short just over 5' with short legs and the Rebel fits me perfectly. It's been a joy learning to ride on it. You'll find the perfect bike for you too when the time comes. Enjoy your "lurking"! :tmwsign:

Well, I am excited about a bike, even if my landlord (who is something of a second mother to me) is like, "I'll be worried. Don't do it!" Haha...

As for being short, I'll just have to uh...get over myself? Something to that effect. /sigh

Back to lurking/posting quasi-helpful comments.

Oh...and I think I forgot to mention that I am a girl/female/woman/non-male. Haha, you guys must've thought that I was a really short guy. Or guess correctly. ;)

Was it the smiley face? Or just the general psychic knowledge of a woman? :O
