Hello and something new for me...

Hey Everyone, I hope you have all been well and have been safe on the roads. Its been a long time since I've been here. I went skydiving recently and I found that most of the skydivers I spoke with were also motorcyclists. So... Here are two videos I have of my first skydiving trip. I'd love to know...

Re: How fast is too fast ?

Ever gone 30-40mph in a parking ramp? That feels too fast. I think one of the posters on this board was driving his cage and was hit by someone doing a sudden acceleration to 30-40 mph in a parking lot. That is certainly too fast. I did that leaving my driveway and was at the stop sign before I cou...

Re: How fast is too fast ?

Fast is such a relative term. Today, my wife in her minivan with the mob was doing 50 mph on a small road just outside a park with a posted speed limit of 50 mph, and I thought she was going wayyy too fast. It was night time, unknown street, hilly with lots of sharp turns. I've reached 100 mph on my...

Update

So, it has been a while since I have posted or been online here at TotalMotorcycle - so here is a ping that I am indeed still alive. I still own the FZ6 - it is a nice bike, but I want something else - but it'll be amazing if I can even keep the bike financially - and much more than that to end up o...

Re: Biking to a stress-free life

Hate suits? You and me both, RY. If you really have to wear one at work, can't you just leave it there and change into it when you arrive? I keep a conventional jacket at work which I wear over my t-shirt when I have to give presentations or run training courses. The last time I wore a suit was in ...

Re: Biking to a stress-free life

Hey, Rhadam, do you have hard luggage on your fazer? I'm thinking a dress shirt and dress pants would do OK underneath riding jacket & pants..... most of my stuff is wool-polyester blend now, hard to avoid it. The suitjacket would only be folded over once, loosely, in a hard topcase. My Givi E4...

Re: Biking to a stress-free life

I do wonder sometimes how it feels to ride without a helmet. Never in NJ though. Maybe someplace where there are few cars and fewer intersections. ...... and softer asphalt!! Hey, Rhadam, do you have hard luggage on your fazer? I'm thinking a dress shirt and dress pants would do OK underneath ridin...

Re: Biking to a stress-free life

Unless this dude is wearing a polyester suit, it's going to look like he slept in it by the time he reaches his destination...that is if the wind doesn't rip it to shreads. You know, if he's only a short distance away and on local streets - he could be ok. Me, with 60 miles of mostly hig...

Re: Biking to a stress-free life

http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj267/BillyRay249/Picture019.jpg Wearing a suit didn't stop this guy. I so hate it when I have to wear a suit.... I would ride like that guy, but I wear full gear - so the suit would be protected from the elements, but it would be wrinkled all to hell. I could go ...
