I had something similar happen to me a couple weeks ago, but luckily for me I was in my truck and not on my bike. We have this highway that is 5 lanes and then splits 3 and 3 to get on to the freeway or go straight into the city. It's a fairly new interchange and I think people are still getting con...

I was in my first group emergency stop a couple weeks ago. We weren't going very fast because of the posibility of deer. We had 8 bikes come to a complete stop on the highway while a herd sauntered across! A few miles down the road, my husband flicked his right signal. We were nowhere near an inters...

November there probably isn't as cold as it is here... but you should try and find some lined leather gloves for winter riding. You can also get textile and leather jackets that have zip in/out liners for the colder days. Also go for a full face helmet to keep the cold out.

Congrats on the new bike! I know it's not the "cool" thing to do (but smart), but I would take your new ride to an empty parking lot and get accquainted. I spent 2 days in the Agriplex parking lot doing slow speed stuff. I still go back if I'm having issues with something but hockey season...

Mine is Ms. Bee - obvious reasons....
My hubby's is Patricia (the Strippa). He's got a red M109 and Lady in Red was a little too clean for a bike, so he went for a different Chris deBurgh song. :D

I live in Alberta so twisties are few and far between..... We do have a few roads that twist around the lakes out here. Does it count if the speed limit is decreased on all the curves??? :? I still get butterflies when I start going into them, but I think I'm getting more comfortable. I've noticed t...

It's also really hard to see through the bugs!
I have a National Cycle Switchblade on my M50. Mid-size, I'm only 5'4".

the nicest thing about the windshield, is on hot days when I'm booting around town, it pops off. It doesn't look like a pop-off when it's on.

July 7, 2008 First day of the course... 8:00 AM Coffee in hand, show up to the Safety Council. I'm driving my brand new truck - not even a week old - and I'm thinking why am I doing this????!!! Luckily for me, the class is about 50% women. It was really amazing the spread of ages and gender. I felt...
