my understanding is that riding a clutch causes a great deal of wear and shortens the life of the diaphram (sp?) springs as well as the clutch plate. atleast that was what i was told when i purchased my last car. 2) It might break. that's like saying don't ever turn on a light for fear of it exploding in an deadly rain of glass shards. :D I always just use the key, like I do i a car. I think of the kill switch as only being used in an emergency. Plus, when the key is in the run position all my lights are on...

I socond that. I wear shoes to commute, mainly because i try to get away without a backpack. The left toe is all ripped up from the shifter and the right shoe a sweeping black mark on the inside.

And here I thought it was just me :D
