there is one difference:

the 2009 XL1200N is the only new Harley with the older style 3.3 gallon tank.

the same can't be said for the 2008.

well, all i can say is: after riding a couple hours in upstate NY in 30-40 degree weather on an unfaired bike without electric gear... getting on the vision and having the automatic winshield whirred into just the right place, the heated seat and the heated grips, ripping through the backroads almos...

i hear ya, and i understand. i've never liked the HD batwing and HATE the look of the shark fairing on yours :oops: however, i would never say "harley makes some nice bikes, but that's not one of them. i have no idea why someone would spend money on that" simply because i know that they AR...

I like that euro harley. However, you can't call the Vision a failure without seeing it in person or giving it a test ride. It just clicks once you do. I saw one in a parking lot a few weeks ago. it's a snowmobile with 3 wheels instead of tracks.

i bet it's fun as heck, and i wouldn't mind playing around on one, but at the end of the day i like 2 wheeled motorcycles.

I am 6'6" and 280 lbs. My ride is a 2001 Honda Shadow ACE and I fit pretty comfortable on it. My first bike was a 79 honda 450. I fit pretty well on that too. You should be able to find a pretty nice 750 on the used market to get you started. Then, you can upgrade to the bigger bike if you wan...
