On really hot days the tar they put down in the roads to fill the cracks so water doesn't get down in there for the winter and chew the roads all to heck, it's slippery. I found out the hard way, was messing around with a Buick Century one day, the bike didn't like the greasy tar on a really hot day...

Well I didn't add any coolant to the bike other than the existing coolant in the system. I just emptied the overfill tank to the low limit and topped the radiator off, it was full. The system should be overflowing the coolant to the overfill tank when hot and then back into the radiator as it cools ...

So after my return trip home my overflow tank is once again above the full line. My plan of attack is to replace the radiator cap and the flow line betwixt the radiator and the overflow tank. If that doesn't work then I will replace the thermometer. Any other suggestions out there. MOM - and I thoug...
