WATERPROOF BOOTS AND GLOVES?

Thanks guys for taking the time to reply about waterproof stuff. Sharpmagna, those links make interesting reading - they certainly subject the products to pretty vigorous tests! Thanks Kal for the Hein Gericke suggestions - I've heard good things about them before.

WATERPROOF BOOTS AND GLOVES?

Do you guys have any advice about reasonably priced and VERY WATERPROOF boots and gloves? I've just got back from a 2 week tour of Scotland and the Outer Hebrides - encountered heavy rain one day and my feet and hands got soaked - I've got leather gloves and boots. I know leather isn't waterproof, s...

Hi Sevultures, Just discovered your Honda 599 journal and have read the first 3 of 16 pages. I'm loving it and look forward to reading the rest. You write really well and put across the thrill of riding a bike as well as anyone. It's not easy describing why riding a bike is so exciting but you do pr...

Have a great trip. I'm off to S Ireland in August with a couple of mates (3 bikes). Should be good, but some of the roads leave a little to be desired (quality of surface), but it's such a fantastic country.

The tyre was never punctured - this goop/slime stuff as far as I understand it is meant to prevent catastrophic blow-outs and stops the tyre deflating very quickly. It just lies around inside the tyre waiting for a puncture when it seals the hole. I agree with you about not taking any chances at all...

What sort of bike you got? When you going?

Was speaking to a guy the other day and he said the ferry from Plymouth to Spain is good - cost about £300 (including double cabin). You had any experience of that?

I'm reading "Chronicles", the first part of Bob Dylan's autobiography. I think it's brilliant (like him).

Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. Teach him how to fish and he'll sit in a boat and drink beer all day.

Never test the depth of the water with both feet.

My world was OK on 666 but I did stay in bed all day wearing a crash helmet just in case!
