Here's a piggyback question. If the swing arm says a higher pressure than the tire indicates, what should you do? I have a strange feeling I don't have quite the right tires for my bike, from a previous owner. ME550 rear and ME330 front on a 750 Nighthawk - '95. The tires indicate lower pressure th...

Re: Another one of my predictions. Take with a grain of salt

With the recent switch of MotoGP to 800cc, and the subsequent very impressive performance the smaller engines have turned out, expect to see a new class emerge in production sport bikes. While the 750 class has more or less died with only Suzuki keeping it alive, it's likely that the "More Pow...

There's not a whole lot of fantastic twisties in that area. There are good motorcycling roads in the great state of Texas but they are few and far between. Mainly far between. A ninjette really isn't suitable for the wide flat and fast stretches you'll encounter riding in Texas. You will definitely ...

Burnouts are childish, bad for the ozone layer, and FUN!

I always give old rear tires a sendoff by giving them a nice healthy burnout. I wouldn't waste tread unless I was about to replace the tire though...

Just an FYI for Posthuman: I don't really expect you to grasp this subtle point, but I thought I'd let you know that a wet clutch saps horsepower and torque through dissipative (hydrodynamic) processes. Parasitic losses, if you will... So your pooh-poohing the "disadvantage" of shaft drive...

Is your Corsa worn out?

If you get a new tire you'll have to scrub off the chicken strips, or maybe just use one of these

I didn't see the Luxeons, only the cheap ones. Some states only allow the brake light to flash for the first 3-4 seconds. The BRAKE! is nice because you can adjust the duration (2 settings + off/no modulation) up to about 2 1/2 seconds. It starts by strobing at, oh, 240 Hz or so, then maybe 500 Hz 3...

If you're going for those cheap LED bulbs, get the red ones, they'll work better in your lenses. Personally I wouldn't buy any of those. If you really want a good upgrade, save your pennies and spend the bucks on a BRAKE! L.E.D. taillight. They have a very large array of LED lights (= more light), a...

Having suffered a couple of concussions from my early cycling days, I was already aware of the utility of a helmet when I started riding motos. I always wore a helmet even though I was in NM at the time and was optional. Fast forward a few years and I'll be moving back, where it will again be an opt...

That Daytona is soooo pretty. I was convinced I was going to buy one:inlove:. Until I sat on it. Too small for my gigantic frame, just like all the other RR bikes out there that don't start with a B and end with a W.
