OKay, now I have to open my undecisive mouth... I said I did not like the Blue. Blue and red makes me think Superman and I'm just not a fan. I like the red, but between the helmet and bike, he would have 3 different shades of red. I know men only see one shade of red, but more exist! I like the yell...

Given the torrential downpours that came in yesterday afternoon, we put off the parking lot lesson until this afternoon. I was surprised how quickly I remembered things from over 6 months ago. This evening, Steven led me on an hour long scenic ride through some back roads. I got into 5th gear, had s...

LADIES - I got a bike!!!
So lately I've been really bummed that I have had nothing to ride since I passed the BRC last September. With the Magna idling, I started thinking about what I actually wanted. No question, I've always wanted a Ninja, since way before I knew anything about motorcycles. We went to look at a 250 found...

I got a working bike!!!
So lately I've been really bummed that I have had nothing to ride since I passed the BRC last September. My Magna has been idle for over six months due to a number of problems, the current one being timing. I finally got fed up with waiting for my boyfriend (Storysunfolding) to have time to fix it a...

But can the 250 handle highways reasonably well? I'm wouldn;t need something that will outrace sport cars, but I don't want to avoid highways because I can't keep up a reasonable speed. I haven't been on any interstates where i live (Northern VA/DC), only in Charlottesville, where drivers have bette...

I've really want to get a used 250 for myself!! I haven't been riding in over 6 months...since passing the MSF course, and before then it was sporadic for about a year. My '85 magna has had constant problems since we got it, and while my boyfriend promised to fix it, injury prevented him from doing ...

So many goals and plans for this year, I'm just hoping I manage to accompish one of them... 1. Get my license...really just a matter of reading the book and heading to the DMV to pass the test. I've already done the MSF course but my permit had expired. 2. Actually get on a bike...my Magna is still ...

And you got a wreckless driving charge??? The "wreckless" made me laugh....after all, i did wreck my car. Jstark47 - you hit the nail on the head. i've been feeling incredibly guilty and can't stop crying (productive, i know) in addition to feeling royally screwed by circumstance. as my brother put...

well apparently, the fact that i failed to maintain control of my car is considered reckless driving...because i normally go into front end spins while driving along. i have no idea how they got reckless but i guess they have to pin the fault on someone...and the ininjured driver with a speeding rec...

LADIES - if not one thing, it's another
So, I think I've gotten over many of my fears of riding. I took the BRC course and had a great time. When i got home i couldn't wait to try out my bike. well, it still needed one more piece before my boyfriend was done fixing it. it came in the mail last week and he was going to put it in this past ...

what amazes me is that he let me drive him home from the hospital, i certainly wouldn't trust me behind the wheel of car again...although, haven't heard too many bad female driver jokes yet. actually, overall, we were damn lucky and Steven is amazing, kept a calm head with his broken arm while i was...

I just completed the BRC course this weekend and had a blast. Now, I keep looking online at bikes and dreaming of getting a new one someday. My dream bike is a V-Strom 650, but that's still some time off. I current have an 85 Magna, that's not in the best condition, but it will have to do for now. N...

I PASSED! we literally just got back from Richmond where we took the class. I had a blast! Our instructors were awesome, the weather ended up being glorious. I learned a lot, and definitely have more confidence...and i didn't totally embarrass myself. I did do worse on the test than i had hoped...go...

Steven (storysunfolding) forgets that Ladies' Lounge is my first stop when i enter the forum. and my name was right at the top... it was really sweet and amazing to read all the support and advice from other riders out there. steven tells me i'll be fine, and i'm sure he's right, but there's still t...

OOh, I definitely would like to hear your view of the class. I am taking it 2 weekends from now and I am slightly nervous. Speaking of taking the class, what do they do if it rains. There is a chance of rain in 2 weekends, although this will undoubtedly change. I realize this is a silly question for...
