I guess I've just been lucky as I've never went into shock even after breaking my arm and wreaking 2 times on a Buell Blast and also crashing my bicycle at 25MPH downhill, come to think of it I am pretty damned lucky that I never got anything worse then roadrash and bruises out of most of my acceden...

First rule of riding(one of many :D ): NEVER trust your mirrors. Always head check. I admit, most the time I do a headcheck. But there have been times when I have to get someplace REALLY FAST where I just glance at my mirrors, good thing that I can basically see as good behind me in my mirrors as I...

For riding I use Field Armor boots from Icon. They work good and I can walk around in them comfortably, but if I'm planing on going for a long hike I bring along regular shoes, or if I'm not going very far I just wear standard boots.

Well I bought my bike in june this year, it was a 2004, but I got it for 8500$, it was just a yearly left over, I think saving 2Grand over the 06/07 was worth it as the only noticable differences are slightly clunkier shifting and a slightly harder to pull clutch.

yea, I used to own one, and it's true what people say, thier good town bikes or commuters, when I had mine I would typically get 60-70Mpg, I admit that I did look a little bit silly on it though, since I'm 6'5'' with a 34'' inseam (short for a tall person). The bike was fairly comfortable for me, bu...

Ten years I honestly don't know what I will be doing, I hope I'll get over my current barriers, currently I have a few barriers I need to get over. 1) Paranoia: I really need to get over this, when I ride or drive I constintly watch everything around me and basicly feel like everyone is trying to ki...

Yea, drive super defensivly on a motorcycle, I have probably saved myself from severall wrecks from doing that.

Also remember to always wear your saftey gear, if you don't you can pretty much count on wrecking when your not wearing it.

The Virago seems to be like a good motorcycle for you, although if your over 5' 10'' I would look at something else. I also suggest buying one used if you can because you will most likely will want something bigger anyways within a year or two, also I wouldn't be planing to do much highway riding on...
