I think an adjustable one so that when you upgrade, it'll fit the new bike too...

Gummiente has the right idea, definitely sounds like the charging circuit. try doing the same as I did when I had a similar problem with my Yamaha, check the battery terminals, somehow mine got loose. (Or I was a dummy and didn't tighten them properly when I installed a new battery.
)

That's the only bulb? 5W seems more like a day time driving light. It should be closer to 55W.

Looks like you had fun, be careful with that numbness, do you know the cause? I had it in my right hand and fingers, there was an impingement in the ulnar nerve at my elbow. No loss of strength, just a loss of feeling. When I applied my front brakes, I had no idea as to how hard I was applying them....

Why would you even consider one that someone has obviously not cared for. You may fix these minor issues quite easily, but I would be more afraid of the ones that might creep up on you down the highway...
