Range
I picked gas mileage, but what I really want is more range. Gas mileage is one way to that, but I fear it would compromise perforamance. Really, I just want a bigger gas tank. V4 all the way
4 cylinders are fast.
2 cylinders are half-fast.
V4 all the way for me. The torque of a V-Twin with the horsepower of an inline 4. Smoothest engine I've ever had the pleasure of wrapping my legs around. It really has no equal.

Wing to modern ride
Well, going from a 78 wing you're going to pretty much be disappointed with the entire crop of current bikes. I'm taking it your wing is Standard, and undressed.
