Re: Risers
I love it! A real hands on gal. From my years of riding I have found the perfect seat to be a pillow seat, then the gel. Though, others confirm a gel then pillow. To each his/her own rear. One thing I did before installing risers was after choosing which set I wanted, I made a cutout using thin luan...

Re: Risers
You can still adjust the handlebars to your desired height after installing new risers. If the current stock bars don't work when installing longer risers, consider after market bars for the perfect fit. Though, when installing longer risers, take into consideration you may need longer cables and/or...

Re: SUPERSTITIONS
It's a novelty.
I use my bell only because it was given to me, otherwise, I don't believe in STUPIDstitions.

Yep, we've grown accustomed to this type of stupidity every day. The real problem is these people probably vote.

Re: Battery tender JR. and use of timer
The Battery Tender does the work of a timer. It determines when the battery is low and trickle charges it. If it doesn't need a charge, it won't...basically...it "Tends" to the battery. Keep in mind, not all battery chargers and/or maintainers do the same. I've had my Battery Tender for 15...

Re: Bluetooth voice control of smart phone?
Isn't text message read a feature from the phone? I can get all voice prompts and command through my iPhone and Q2 set as I assume it's due to the phone. I'm uncertain of the G4 features, but I cannot see how the G4 would be able to provide and/or override a feature not built with the phone. Have yo...

Re: Wind Noise = deal breaker
I realize I'm late to the party, but for anyone else who is concerned about wind noise, I ended up buying a "rally" helmet, which BTW, is technically still a motorcycle helmet as it meets and/or exceeds the DOT and Snell rating. I know of three brands which are Stilo, Peltor and Bell. They...

Re: Harley-Davidson V-Rod not a Harley-Davidson
Are we really going to touch on this again? How many more threads do we need about this topic. I've expressed my opinion on this matter several times. It's just that my opinion. But you all seem to harp on it endlessly. If the corvette suddenly went to a 4cylinder turbocharged model, I wouldn't be ...

Re: Vrod not a Harley
Now wait a minute....the line has to be drawn somewhere. The guy who buys a Sportster should be made fun of. That's one uncomfortable fugly bike, IMO.Harvey wrote:Often a guy will go out and buy a Sporster and then get made fun of by some other Harley owners because he rides a Sportster.

Re: Vrod not a Harley
The fact you required the need to start another thread justifying your acts confirmed your angst about the comment regarding the V-rod. If you're convinced the V-rod is truly a Harley, no explanation is needed. When some people are adamant within their belief, any explanation provided to them will n...
