Talk to your husband. Tell him you're upset. He may not even know that this happened.

Re: Helmet Fit Guidelines...
Impact mitigation is certainly important, but if a helmet is uncomfortable to be in during a ride, your ability to concentrate will decrease. I find that brand new helmets take several thousand miles to break in whereas used lids are comfortable right out of the box. When looking for a new lid, I l...

Does anyone moto-camp?
Just curious. It seems to be an adventure rider and BMW thing mostly. When I first started riding, our local BMW club had an annual early June rally at the not to distant YMCA camp. That's how we were introduced to motocamping. We camped as a family so it wasn't that far a stretch. But, since that w...

Re: 400cc too small?
So long as it runs and passes a basic safety inspection, SURE! Its your first bike, not your one and only bike. Little ones are perfect for syncing in the basic skills and they're a helluva hoot to ride!

Re: Rockster Blog...
Well. It's February. I've become a cold weather wimp. I'll ride in the 50's but not lower. Having had no other choice but to ride in all temps while we had 4 drivers and only 2 cars (while kids were in high school), I'll take the car if its cold. But come warm weather I'll be commuting by motorcycle...

Eastern US ladies... Mountain Moxie 2017 event
Howdy. I figured I'd share this here. I attended the event last year. It was awesome! Hosted at an inn that is steps off the Blue Ridege Parkway's mile post 335, the riding in the area is phenomenal. The Switzerland Inn is pretty cool too. There are still spaces open! http://www.motogirlcafemountain...

Re: Rockster Blog...
Wondering if I need to change my blog's name? Anyway. I will have put more miles on Grace (my new R1200R) in a month, than the previous owner did in 3 years. I took possession of her with 1554 miles. He hadn't even changed the shock settings from the factory defaults! I rode to work this morning, th...

Re: BEST MOTORCYCLE FOR LADIES IMHO
. . . ANYHOW...... THE best motorcycle she ever had by far was a ...... RIDLEY AUTO GLIDE.....She could shift but really liked that she could jump on and off the bike with ease like a scooter but it rode like the Harley Soft tail it was based on (same chassis) but had lower seat height, light weigh...

Re: Rockster Blog...
So, I'm healing nicely. The ankle is great. Started back to work this past week. I'm doing terrific since surgery to put in a plate to repair my collarbone. That is also doing very well. I've found my next motorcycle. A 90th Anniversary R1200R (2013) with just 1600 miles on it. [Since the bike is so...

Re: Rockster Blog...
Thanks all! I'm doing okay. Went to orthopedist yesterday. The ankle should be good in 3-4 weeks. The shoulder/collarbone, not so much. The two broken ends are nowhere near each other, and this being my dominant arm. Surgery is scheduled for tomorrow morning to put in a plate and stabilize things. Y...

Schuberth has an integrated sound system that replaces the neck roll padding with speakers and microphone. Nice set up. Works very well. System is made by/compatible with Cardo systems.

Where my bike left the road, and the start of the furrow plowed by the right cylinder head. IMG_6661.jpeg Where my bike ended up. 39 1/2 feet from the road's edge. It definitely rolled over on its nose, ripping off my windscreen and yanking the tether out of my Marsee tankbag. And at least one lengt...

Assumptions will bite you (5/8/2016) So, I crashed my beautiful, dependable, and beloved Gryndl, the Rockster 80th Anniversary Limited Edition #196 on Mother’s Day, on the Blue Ridge Parkway. My sturdy steed sits forlorn at a Tow Yard, near Fancygap, VA, waiting to be picked up as salvage. My friend...

Re: Rockster Blog...
Glad you made it out of that one relatively ok. Heal up soon! Any thoughts on what you'll get to replace the Rockster? Thanks! To be completely honest, my inclination is another Rockster! That bike did everything I needed, fit my frame perfectly, and was eye-catching to boot. Though i may have to "...

Well. On Mother's Day I totalled my beloved Rockster Limited Edition. Was returning home from a weekend event (Mountain Moxie 2016), via the Blue Ridge Parway when a legal pass went badly. My friend, who had been leading for most of the trip, and executed a half-dozen successful passes, slowed down ...

Wow. I bought a running, 18 year old Suzuki 250 for $400. It had 11k miles on it. You've been had. This is a garage project not a motorcycle for riding. Best of luck.
