Re: BC lady kills rider, gets one day in jail
That just is wrong. She killed a innocent person- vehicular homicide.. In Missouri, she would have atleast gotten 7 years in prison, for vehicular homicide. But I recall another case from 1990's. A fire chief got drunk and ran off the road into a lady and her new born child. Drove her through a bric...

Re: I rode my motorcycle today...
Ya, I went for a ride yesterday. It was exciting. I just rode back highways, but it was fun still. The back highways have hills and curves, that make things a little more exciting. 70 mph highways are mainly straight and fun too, but my scooter will only do 70 mph- so it is no fun being passed by ev...

Re: Tripping In China
China has the largest motorcycle/ scooter industry in the world. They are known for scooters, because they sale new in the crate, for a dirt cheap price..lol... It is not scooters, that they copy..lol.. They make copies of everything- thus Americans have a lot to choose from. Think about it. Walmart...

Nice looking Suzuki.. It is pretty cool looking. I like Honda a lot and am thinking of getting the Honda Forza 300cc scooter. They do 86+ mph, a well respected name, and are new in 2014. They cost $5600.. I like the Suzuki Burgman too, but the 400cc and $6700.

How fast did you break in a motorcycle?
See, my wife has a little over 100 miles on her Honda Rebel.. Had it 6 months.. She wants to break it in right, but don't ride enough.. I don't say anything, because I don't want to hurt her feelings, but a bike required riding to break in properly. My 250cc scooter was broke in within 1 month. Chan...

Re: Honda Rebel 250-2009
She owned a scooter for a few months, around 2 years ago. It was a Yamaha Zuma 2008.. She liked it, but the neighbor rode it more. She still isn't sure of herself on it yet. Scared to ride over 40 mph still. The Honda dealer sold her it, 6 months ago. I realize, she want to break it in gently but to...

Re: when do you lock it up?
I have never locked up my scooter, except for when new. It has always had full coverage insurance on it. I did buy a security alarm for it, 4 days ago. I also have a lock that fits front disk. But seriously, thieves will try to steal anything. I mean, I am lucky to have lived in all small towns of 2...

Re: Freeway riding: Right or Left lane?
I tend to ride in the slow lane on the freeway- when 70 mph due to my Chinese 250cc scooter will not do but 70 mph... I stay up with traffic but must keep my eyes open more, for cars pulling on the freeway, cars pulling off, cars passing me, ect.. I constantly adjust speed to which situation I have....

Re: Register Your Rides Here - Tell us about your ride!
My wife is the Honda owner.. I owned a Yamaha and 2 Chinese scoots. It is funny, but the Yamaha I owned first. I brought it in to the dealer because the engine started making a weird noise. The scooter was under warranty and had extended warranty. Well, the dealer really did not want to find the pro...

Registered scooter today
I woke up and slapped on my jean pants, a shirt, and steel toe boots.. Grabbed my leather jacket and helmet and felt tired still. So I drank a Coke and felt a little bit better. Went outside and uncovered my scooter. It is a 250cc scoot. Put everything on and took off. I started down 54 Expressway- ...

I do all the work to my own bike. Adjusting valves is a must, to keeping a machine running good. I tune by ear. I know when it sounds right or wrong.

Re: Nervous on open highways
I rode 10 miles on the expressway today, registering my scooter. Oh, it was so much fun.. Rode to Larry's Honda, where they inspected it. Riding 70 mph or close to it, is exciting to me. :cowboy: It isn't bad as people think. The wind wasn't bad, it was a 4 lane expressway. The wind on a scooter, is...

A 250cc motorcycle is a starter bike. A 950cc you will most likely crash it. Start small and gradually work your way up..

Why not ride a trike?
Often friends ask, why not ride a trike verses a scooter? The trike, I feel, ruins the true two wheel experience. This is because a trike handles differently than a motorcycle. The scooter handles pretty much the same way as a motorcycle- both have 2 wheels, both you must lean into corners. The larg...
