Re: Howdy and a few questions
The only reason I am thinking used even though there is a limited variety around this part of illinois right now, is because my dad is going to help me with getting it (yes I am 26 but my dad is really proud and happy with the way I am going about this as well as it brings back memories from when he...

Re: Howdy and a few questions
I haven't really decided yet, it will prolly be a month or so before I get anything. I am leaning toward the ninja 250 or 500 still for at least a year or two. Get one nice but used, then go from there. I will see though. Thanks for all the help.

Re: Howdy and a few questions
I thank you guys for the answers. I will look more closely at the gs because I do plan on some highway riding as well as commuting, we shall see I guess. And as far as my size I am 5 ft 6 in tall and weight 240lbs so,, I am not sure if that should be a figure within my decision process

Re: Howdy and a few questions
I have looked at both the gs500 and sv650 but have been told by several different people that they would be too big (engine wise) for a newbie, is that true or not?

Re: Howdy and a few questions
So I went to my Import Dealer essentially and they had a used Vulcan 500, sat on it for about 10 to 15 min (this sales guy is awesome.. he talks to me and then just lets me roam and sit on all the bikes and he knows I won't be able to be anytime soon.. I know he just wants me to buy from there when ...

Re: Gps/ Travel planning
Kewl, I have been finding a lot of similar tips and information searching through the net. I was just wondering then about what GPS programs people are using on their Android phones, whether it is the google maps or some other program?

Re: I'm looking for suggestions for my first motorcycle
Well I don't have a motorcycle as of yet, but am in the process of getting one and have done a lot of research. In the 250CC range there are choices but the ones I know are Honda Rebel, Suzuki GS 250, or the Ninja 250R. Now I am sure there are others and some of the experienced riders may give you o...

Gps/ Travel planning

I want to know what kind of luck you guys have had with gps systems and your...

Re: Howdy and a few questions
Well the research was a few different people I had talked to.. though they could of been exaggerating cost.. some of them were Harley owners and some were not.. so that information could be completely wrong.

Re: Howdy and a few questions
I was actually also looking at the Vulcan, not sure exactly how I feel about them yet.My sketchy plan is get the Ninja 250R for now because it just seems overall really a good choice. Then I may move up to the Vulcan 900 Classic, just kinda depends. I may forgo Harley's all together at this point ma...

Alright folks.. I have good news. I have been doing a lot of research, traveling around to different motorcycle stores.. ect. Well I have decided to go with a Ninja 250R instead of the Harley. I sat on it and it feels awesome, though the Honda Shadow 750 was a close second. Any words of wisdom.. tip...
