Re: Gear

I am thinking about getting some relly good riding gear, what kind dose some of you riders use. If you're looking at getting some really nice quality leather, give http://www.leatherup.com a look. Both my wife and I have jackets from there and they fit like a glove. Oh, did I mention under $100 eac...

Go to Walmart or any auto parts store and get a can of Seafoam. Put 1 oz of seafoam to a gallon of gas in your tank. This stuff is AMAZING. It makes a set of carbs that are all gunked up from sitting work like new. You will be impressed.

Breaking in leather

Believe it or not, the best way to break in a pair of leather work boots is to slop around in wet concrete or cement with them. Wash them off really well and when they dry, oil them up really well. They get so soft and comfy that you would be amazed! (just don't stand in one place very long. )

I don't have a backrest but sure do like the way the stock seat on the Superglide supports you. It's really comfortable on long rides.

Hey y'all. It's great to be back in the saddle again! Took a hiatus from bikes in 1987 when I sold my last bike (81 FXE Superglide) because I was tired of the idiot cage pilots trying to kill me here in Jacksonville. I don't know what came over me but the bug bit again this year (21 years later) and...
