Re: Ladies - Women's first bike choice
I'm 5'2" with a fairly short inseam. I started on a Rebel a few years ago and moved up to the Shadow 600 last year. I can easily flatfoot both bikes. IMHO, I'm glad I started smaller than the Shadow. It wasn't just the seat height for me, it was the weight of the bike and the riding position as well...

Ride to Cuba, NM
I hope I figured out how to post photos, and write a fairly readable ride report. :) Since Mother Nature kept spitting rain over Memorial Day weekend, we postponed an out-of-town ride until this past weekend. Started out about taking our normal route out of town to US 550. The road from our neighbor...

Thanks both of you. Gotta admit the Shadow is an awesome ride. The Rebel was great but... Each time I get on the Shadow, I fall in love with her all over again! :motorcyclelove: Follow - I haven't mentioned LOE to the spouse yet, but depending on the work schedule, it might be a possibility this yea...

New Bike, New Season
Hello everyone. I've been lurking all winter, gaining insight and hopefully some knowledge waiting for the riding season to start. With the bikes put up for the winter didn't have anything to contribute. Anyhow, long story short - a trip for parts resulted in a bigger bike for me. Found a 2006 Honda...

:goodjob: Mz33 on your Putt-Putt Posse! All of you should be proud of yourselves and each other. Emotional baggage ain't easy to get rid of, just having the courage to try something like riding is a huge accomplishment for your friend. Give yourselves a :grouphug2: you deserve it! I hope you can fin...

:nicethread: Quite a variety of age, experience and reasons. I rode pillion with then hubby for years, wanted to learn then (late 70's), but was too afraid to be different! Always loved the rides and missed it terribly when we split. Met current husband who rode and enjoyed it again. Unfortun...

I've been trying on bikes for a future upgrade and for me, the difference was width. I'm vertically challenged 5'2" - short legs - and the 600 sidecovers dug into my legs. I didn't feel comfortable trying to flat foot it when I sat on it. The 750 was narrower and easier to pull up and hold up for me...

These are the three we use to keep up with the latest:
www.amaproracing.com
www.motogp.com
www.worldsbk.com
Also, www.speedtv.com has a tab dedicated to motorcycle racing, news & programming that usually has some pretty info on it.
Enjoy!
