Re: Battery Tender System.
You need a smaller fuse, more appropriate to your GPS. I would leave the 25 amp in place but add another fuse that will work for GPS but unplug for battery tender use. I plan to do this on my bike but believe my battery tender hook up doesn't have a fuse.

75 th Sturgis
Who is going? I was thinking of having a TMW meet up (probably end up about 4 or 5 of us) say one afternoon during rally we meet at Burger King, they have WiFi. Any questions PM me, I've been going since 72 and riding since 79 only missing about four years. Try to keep it old school so I don't know ...

The Suzi has one of those stupid site glasses that always looks over full even when empty. Also has battery under right glove compartment, yes battery inside fairing.

new (to me) bike
Happy Bike Day--just picked up a 86 Suzuki Cavalcade 1400. A little rough, 88k, but I got a good deal. Big heavy akward bike at slow speeds great on highway, a lot like the Wing but more top heavy, front end flops at parking lot/driveway speeds. Should be a good tow bike.

Re: Anyone Been to Sturgis in the Off Season?
Not much happens there in off season. There is a great motorcycle museum (year round) in Sturgis also a Museum at Ft Meade and some off season concerts and a threshing bee in August after the rally. Most things around this part of SD are in Rapid City (too much to mention Google it) Also if you are ...

Ryan;
We've only had smoke one day. Two nights ago could see fire reflection on clouds to the North. With US24 closed, US50 is like Denver's rush hour. Last Sunday even Phantom Canyon had a lot of traffic.

My Pan is 73.66 CI or 1207.1 cc for the SI conversion. Rated HP is 9.44 RAC(taxable) The newer ones(55 up) use rated hp of 60 hp @ 5400 rpm but still have 9.44 taxable listed. Taxable used bore and number of cyl. not actual displacement. SI (metric)sic usually rate bikes in PS Rather than HP but the...

10) Choke. If the motorbike is cold, open the choke. If not, tell your licence examiner that the bike is warm and you will not be using the choke Don'''t they mean close the choke? Or in SA do they say open to apply choke, like the petcock is turned AUF (pronounced OFF) meaning on (in English) for G...
