50 - 54 MPG, 245+ miles per tank with mostly stock 2000 ZX-9r (21K miles on the clock). It consistently outruns every bike in the group in one way or the other. Those that can keep up or those that are slightly faster than it in the canyons usually cannot do it for more than about 90-150 miles. And those that can go for longer distances, can't keep up with it in canyons. The best part, is having a bike where I can go ~200 miles before hitting reserve, which also helps with not having to fill up with expen$ive rusty old boondock gas. One of the best range runs so far took place on a crazy twisties group ride on Saturday. I still don't understand how she went so far with the kind of RPMs I was running. I was pushing a pace that separated me and one other rider from the entire group, by over a minute. Hit reserve at 207 miles (backed it up on Sunday with a 206), pushing tank range to ~256 miles, potentially. The other rider ran two tanks through his bike, to my one tank. And don't get the wrong impression that she's only about fuel economy. She's dynamite. Feels more like my buddies ZZR-1200 in the mid-range and she'll pull the front wheel into the air in second gear passes. Best bike I have ever had the privilege of riding.  WOW! wow! WOW! 213.4 miles to reserve was the old mark using the richer summer setup. Winterized setup takes the new number to 221.5. 10/09/09 First I ran a 249 mile hwy-canyon-hwy run hitting reserve at 218.9. Still had an hour of daylight left, so I fueled her up and ran her again to verify that it wasn't a fluke. Next run was all hwy. Froze my arse off, but she hit reserve at 221.5. Fueled up shortly thereafter. 474 miles using 8.624g = 54.96MPG. New tank range ~275 miles. 08/22/09 - The other R1200 rider and I both took notice. He thought I was bluffing when I said we'd be riding nonstop for over 200 miles, not a problem for his 9g capacity BMW. He said he kept checking his odometer and looking to see when I'd switch to reserve as I led past 150, 170, 190 and 210. Stopped at 217 for fuel, tried, but she wouldn't fit 4 gallons in. 409 miles today, riding over two 9,000' summits. 7.72g used. 10/24/09 - 221.3 to reserve. AND GET THIS. According to the highway patrol, when I was doing this distance run they claim to have nabbed me at well over 80 MPH. Speed and distance confirmed by law enforcement. Uhhh, no officer, I wasn't doing 80 MPH. It doesn't matter, they say I was so I was. PERIOD! I'll have to submit his citation to Mythbusters, b/c I even want to know how it's possible to speed and record my bike's personal MPG best. ???
